Police activity has slowed southbound traffic on the Willey Bridge in Henrico County, causing major travel delays.
Police officials said they found an abandoned vehicle on the north end of the bridge early Friday morning, but were unable to locate a driver. Water rescue crews are checking to make sure no one is in the river. They are investigating it as a "suspicious situation."
Major delays on southbound Parham Road north of the bridge can be expected.
