John Dixon IV, who is a Petersburg police officer, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at about 1:53 a.m. Saturday, January 26.
Dixon was driving his personal vehicle at the time of the arrest.
Sources tell 8News that Dixon is the son of Petersburg Chief of Police John Dixon III.
Dixon was also charged with failure to obey a red light, refusal and expired license plates.
