TEXAS—A 16-year-old girl in Texas is suing her parents, claiming they want her to abort the baby she's fighting to keep.
The girl also accuses her parents of taking away her car and phone, and keeping her from school for failing to get an abortion.
Lawyers saw what the parents are doing is not only wrong, but it may be criminal.
"If the parents force an abortion on a minor, the parents can not only be subject to civil responsibility, but they can also be criminally liable under our fetal homicide laws, because not only does the minor have a right to be protected, but the fetus does, even under Texas law," said legal analyst Joel Androphy.
The teen's father claims the allegations are false and says he believes someone's putting his daughter up to the lawsuit.
