HENRICO, VA—Four students at Deep Run High School have been charged after police suspected the teens of showing up drunk at a school dance.
Emergency crews had to provide medical assistance to one of the teens, police said. It happened at a dance at Deep Run High School on Saturday night.
School officials alerted off-duty officers who were working the dance, and said they believed some of the students appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
Three 16-year-old females and one 17-year-old female were charged with underage possession of alcohol following a police and school investigation.
All four were released on a summons to their parents, police said.
The investigation continues, and further arrest could be made, police said.
