CHESTERFIELD, VA—The man convicted in a string of arson fires will be sentenced in a Chesterfield County courtroom Thursday.
John Bradley Smith, 31, of the 600 block of Bristol Village Drive in Midlothian, is set scheduled be sentenced on five counts of arson Thursday.
Smith pleaded guilty to five counts of arson in a November 2012 court hearing.
Between May 11, 2012 and May 26, 2012, five fires were intentionally set in the Midlothian area of Chesterfield County, police said.
All of the fires occurred at vacant buildings, three of those were homes, one was an antique shop and another was a daycare building.
