Richmond, VA—After arresting a man for allegedly robbing a Richmond convenience store last week, police reveal that the same suspect may be responsible for robbing Night and Day Grocery in Church Hill. Night and Day's owner is closing up shop, after it was robbed twice last month.
The Minit-Mart, located in the 3400 block of Q Street, was robbed on February 8, at about 12:15 p.m.
Tips poured in just hours after detectives released surveillance video from the crime, and police quickly identified 27-year-old David L. Reed as the suspect.
Reed, of the 1600 block of North 30th Street, has been charged with robbery for the Minit-Mart incident. He has also been charged for the January 21 robbery of Night and Day Market, located at 2829 Q Street. Reed also faces additional charges.
Police are now working to identify two other suspects who are believed responsible for the Minit-Mart robbery, as well as other crimes in the area recently.
Anyone with information about these suspects or incidents is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000.
