A jury has been seated in the trial against a former Richmond Public Schools teacher's aide accused of child sex crimes.More >>
Richmond, Va - An adult male is in custody this morning following a pursuit that started in Goochland County and ended in the City of Richmond.
At approximately 9:22 a.m., a trooper attempted to stop a vehicle for reckless driving by speed on Interstate 64 eastbound near the Rockville Exit.
After the trooper initiated his emergency equipment, the driver failed to stop for the trooper and continued on Interstate 64 eastbound at speeds over 100 miles per hour. The driver continued onto Interstate 95 southbound where the driver crashed and struck two state police vehicles near the VCU/Broad Street, Exit 75, at approximately 9:30 a.m.
The driver then attempted to flee on foot and was quickly apprehended. No troopers were injured in the crash. The driver did suffer minor injuries as a result of the crash.
Charges are pending at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
