Vice Mayor Of Louisa Arrested For Violent Domestic Incident
Louisa, VA—After a domestic incident turned violent, Vice Mayor of the Town of Louisa Mary Clarke now faces assault and battery charges, as well as her teenage grandson.
Police say Clarke was arrested Friday, February 22, after they responded to a call for a physical domestic altercation between Clarkes' husband, James Clarke, Jr., and her grandson, James Clark III. Mary Clarke, as well as 19-year-old James Clarke III allegedly assaulted Clarke, Jr.
Mary Clarke was charged with one count of domestic assault and battery, and was released by a magistrate on an unsecured bond. An emergency protective order was issued, with the stipulation of no violent contact, and she was allowed to return to her residence.
James Clarke III was also charged with domestic assault and battery; an emergency protective order with a no contact stipulation was issued, preventing him from returning to residence. Clarke III was transported to the Central Virginia Regional Jail in Orange County.
