Henrico Apartment Fire Displaces 2, No Injuries

HENRICO, VA—An overnight fire displaced two people and damaged two apartment units at a Henrico County apartment complex early Tuesday morning.

A fire broke out at the Oakland Village Apartments in the 1300 block of Old Bronze Road just before 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Henrico County Fire crews said smoke was visible from the second floor of a two-story multi-family apartment complex.

It took just less than 20 minutes to get the fire under control.

One apartment unit sustained fire damage in one bedroom and heavy smoke damage throughout the apartment.

The fire displaced one adult and one child. The American Red Cross is assisting.

An adjacent apartment unit sustained some water damage, but residents are expected to be let back in.

No injuries were reported.
