Richmond, VA—A man has been arrested in connection with a
shooting on North 22nd Street on Sunday afternoon, which sent a man to the hospital.
Richmond Police, the U.S. Marshal's Regional Fugitive Task
Force and the State Police collaborated to apprehend 21-year-old Tyriek J.
Hayes on February 26.
At approximately 9:30 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle traveling
northbound on Interstate 95 at exit 83. Hayes was subsequently arrested, and
charged with use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Other charges are
pending.
Hayes was wanted in connection with a February 24 shooting,
in which a male victim was transported to VCU Medical
Center with non
life-threatening injuries.
