HENRICO, VA—Police say alcohol was a factor in an early morning wreck on I-295 that left a Henrico County man dead.
Wayne L. Johnson Jr., 33, was killed when police say his truck ran off the right side of the road, striking a guardrail and sign post.
The wreck happened around 3:00 a.m. Thursday on I-295 south just north of Route 5 in Henrico County.
Police said Johnson was not wearing his seatbelt; he died at the scene.
Alcohol is considered a factor in the crash, according to police.
Following the wreck, the right and center lanes were blocked four approximately one hour.
