Henrico, VA—After a suspicious package was found at the corner of Pemberton Road and Mayland Drive on Thursday afternoon, Henrico Fire and Police are investigating.

When fire units arrived to the scene in response to reports of a suspicious package, they found a container lying on top of a storm grate. An X-ray was taken of the container to try and determine its contents.

Henrico Police EOD rendered the container safe by venting it.

Officials remain on the scene, investigating what the container is and who may have placed it there. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 804-501-7310.
