RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Utility crews are working to restore power to at least 55,000 customers in Virginia following the recent winter storm.
More than 21,000 Dominion Power customers remained without electricity Friday. That includes about 9,500 customers in Albemarle County.
Dominion has more than 4,700 crews working to restore electricity, including 500 from out of state.
Virginia's electric cooperatives report 34,000 customers remained without service Friday.
About 200,000 customers in the state lost power at the height of the storm, which dumped up to 20 inches of snow in central and western Virginia and left three people dead.
