The suspect accused of shooting and killing a Virginia State Police Master Trooper Thursday has had other run-ins with the law.
Russell E. Brown III, from Chesterfield County, has two previous convictions in the City of Richmond.
Brown was convicted of obstruction of justice, stemming from an incident in 2006. He was also convicted in 2008 for having a concealed weapon without a permit.
Brown did not serve any jail time for those prior convictions.
Brown is accused of shooting and killing Master Trooper Junius A. Walker on the side of Interstate 85 in Dinwiddie County on Thursday.
