Waynesboro, VA--On March 8, the Wildlife Center of Virginia chose a very special way to honor the life and service of Master Trooper Junius A. Walker, who was killed in the line of duty on March 7.

According to the video, the eagle which was released had been hit by a vehicle, and had elevated levels of lead in her blood. When Bald Eagle #13-0037 was released, it flew northeast, and another bald eagle joined it as it circled the area. The bird's release was dedicated to Master Trooper Walker.

Watch the video to see the moving tribute, and tune in to 8News at 5 for live coverage of Trooper Walker's wake.
