CHESTERFIELD, VA—A Chesterfield County woman who police say shot her husband in self defense during in a domestic dispute Sunday will not face charges.
Chesterfield County Police responded to the 6400 block of Lake Caroline Court for a report of a shooting at approximately 10:19am Sunday morning.
When police arrived they found a male victim suffering a gunshot would to the chest. The victim, Lee Edward Jacobs, was taken to MCV Medical Center and was listed as stable.
A warrant for domestic assault has been obtained against Jacobs. Charges will not be filed against the wife, as police say she acted in self defense.
According to police there were witnesses to the alleged assault.
Police continue their investigation into this incident.
