HENRICO, VA—A pedestrian in Henrico County was struck by an oncoming vehicle after he stepped into the roadway late Sunday night, police said.
Randy Alan Pease, 44, of Henrico County, was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Creighton Road near Hillcrest Farms Drive, police said Monday.
It happened around 11:10 p.m. Sunday. Police said the driver of a SUV was traveling east on Creighton Road when Pease stepped into the roadway and was struck.
Pease was taken to VCU Medical Center where he later died as a result of his injuries.
Police said speed, alcohol and weather did not appear to be factors in the crash. No charges have been filed.
