Students Warned After Mumps Outbreak At U of R

HENRICO, VA—The University of Richmond is warning students after multiple cases of mumps have been diagnosed on campus.

Multiple laboratory-confirmed cases of mumps among University of Richmond students have been identified by the Henrico County Health Department, the university said in an online statement.

Symptoms include headache, fever and nausea. School officials are asking anyone who feels sick to contact the student heath center.

The virus spreads when someone coughs or sneezes.
