Gov. McDonnell, First Lady Sponsor Easter Egg Hunt
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Gov. Bob McDonnell and first lady Maureen McDonnell are encouraging visitors to an Executive Mansion Easter egg hunt to arrive with a gift for expectant military mothers.
The second edition of the Easter event is scheduled for Wednesday on Capitol Square. Besides the hunt, the 5-7 p.m. event will feature music, games and mascots, including "Nutsy" the flying squirrel of Richmond's minor league baseball team.
The gifts collected for military moms will be used on June 4th for a baby shower sponsored by Operation Homefront. The McDonnells ask that the gifts be unwrapped.
