Guns Stolen From, And Then Returned To, Louisa Home

Posted: Updated:

Louisa, VA—A string of recent burglaries—and one bizarre crime in particular—has a victim and his family scratching their heads in confusion.

On Friday, March 22, someone busted a window broke into John Koss' home. Theives stole guns, an Xbox and several video games.

"Once we got in here it's like they targeted weapons and games and basically that's what they took," says Koss.

A few days after the burglary, the family was looking out the window, and spotted something at the end of their driveway. It was a trash bag, full of most of their stolen guns.

Koss says, "They said 90% of the time you don't get the weapons back and we got 90% of the weapons back."

All but one gun was returned. Koss and investigators have just one question about the crime: why?

While Maj. Donnie Lowe is happy to see most of the guns returned, he's concerned about the trend.

"We've had a few burglaries in that area, of course we have them all over the county and the main thing is a lot of guns are being stolen."

John Koss remains confused about the crime, as well as uneasy.

"It's nice to have those things back but just to know you were robbed, I want to see them caught, period."
