At approximately 1:00am, this morning Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a shooting call at Q-ball café, located at 960 Bragg Road. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a security employee from the club, lying fatally wounded in front of the main entrance.

Witnesses reported that an altercation erupted between two groups attending the rap concert at the club. One group was ejected from the business by club personnel and later became involved in another altercation in the parking lot. Shortly thereafter, the subjects drove by the club and fired several shots at the front of the establishment, striking one employee who died at the scene.

Homicide Detectives from SCSO are working around the clock to follow up on leads developed in the investigation. Anyone who has information regarding the shooting is urged to contact the Criminal Investigations Division or Crime Solvers.
