SPOTSYLVANIA, VA—Police are searching for two men wanted in connection with the shooting death of a security guard outside a Spotsylvania night club Saturday.
The two suspects have been identified as Chauncey Cartier Lampkin, 27 of Spotsylvania and David Davion Burroughs, 25 of Stafford. A third suspect, Lavon Chew of Spotsylvania County, has already been taken into custody.
Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of a shooting Q-ball café, located at 960 Bragg Road. It happened at approximately 1:00 a.m. Saturday, March 30.
When officers arrived, they found Marcellus Greene, a security employee at the club, lying in front of the main entrance, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.
Deputies say witnesses reported an altercation erupted between two groups attending the rap concert at the club.
One group was ejected from the business by club personnel and later became involved in another altercation in the parking lot, according to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Department.
Officials say the suspects then drove by the club and fired several shots at the front of the establishment, striking one employee who died at the scene.
Chauncey Cartier Lampkin, 27 of Spotsylvania, is wanted on five felony warrants including homicide, malicious shooting with intent, malicious shooting as a member of a mob, discharging a firearm from a vehicle and discharging a firearm at an occupied dwelling.
David Davion Burroughs, 25 of Stafford, is wanted on six felony warrants including transportation of a firearm as a felon, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, discharging a firearm from a vehicle, conspiracy to discharge a firearm from a vehicle, discharging a firearm at an occupied dwelling and conspiracy to shoot at an occupied dwelling.
Lampkin, is described as a 27-year-old black male, approximately 5'11''and 190 pounds. He has a shoulder and full arm tattoos. Lampkin also goes by the name "Fresh."
Burroughs is described as a 25-year-old black male, approximately 6'11''and 190 pounds.
Lavon Chew, of Spotsylvania County, was taken into custody Saturday on several felony charges related to the shooting.
