RICHMOND, VA—Parts of downtown Richmond will be without water for part of Friday evening as crews work to repair a water main break.
The Department of Public Utilities (DPU) will have to shutoff water to the 700-1100 blocks of W. Broad Street as they repair a water main break on Munford Street.
The break occurred on Munford Street, one block west of N. Belvidere between W. Broad and VA 33.
The shutdown is expected to last five hours, possibly longer, DPU officials said.
Traffic could be impacted during rush hour at the Belvidere and W. Broad intersection. Broad Street will likely be narrowed to one lane going west through this evening's rush hour, according to DPU.
