9 Displaced By 5th Avenue House Fire; No Injuries

Richmond, VA—It took Richmond Fire crews about a half hour to bring a house fire in the 2500 block of 5th Avenue under control; there were no injuries, but nine people were displaced.

Richmond Fire Lt. Hagerman confirms that heavy smoke and fire were visible in the home when crew arrived.

He also says that although there were initial reports of a person going inside to check on their grandmother or mother, no one was found in the home, and there were no injuries.

The Red Cross is assisting three men, three women and three juveniles who were displaced by the fire.
