Culpeper County, VA—Two former Culpeper County Public Schools employees have been arrested, after police say they physically and verbally assaulted an autistic boy on a school bus in February.

Linda Rastall, 50, a former teacher's aide, and Betty Turner, 56, a former bus aide, were arrested on April 22, after police say they physically and verbally assaulted a 5-year-old boy with autism who was upset on a school bus.

The child was crying because a toy had been taken from him, and Rastall and Turner allegedly tried to control him using physical and verbal assault, which caused injury.

Rastall and Turner were each charged with assault and battery, as well as contributing to the delinquency of a mior. They were released on bond, and are due back in court on May 8.
