POLICE: Teen Stabbed To Death Outside Grocery Store

Buckingham, VA—Police say a young woman was stabbed multiple times in a grocery store parking lot Tuesday evening, and later died; her boyfriend has been named as a suspect in the case.

On April 30 at about 11:15 p.m., police were called to the Farmer's Food grocery store in Dilwyn for reports of a female being stabbed.

They found the victim, 18-year-old Alexis Artice Rose, lying in the parking lot, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Rose was transported to an area hospital and underwent emergency surgery, but succumbed to her injuries at 4:04 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Rose's car was found at the crime scene, across the parking lot; it was taken into custody by theBuckingham County Sheriff's Office as evidence.

Virginia State Police are assisting in the investigation, and are providing specialized equipment in evidence recovery.

A preliminary investigation identified Rose's boyfriend, 20-year-old Christopher Jerel Moseley, as a suspect in the homicide. Moseley has been arrested and charged with murder in the first degree.

Moseley is currently being held in jail without bond. The investigation is ongoing…stay with 8News for updates.
