Three Unoccupied Cars Damaged By Gunfire In Richmond

Richmond, VA—Police are searching for the person responsible for shooting three unoccupied cars on 45th Street early Sunday morning.

Officers received reports of random gunfire in the 1000 block of West 45th Street at about 4:15 a.m. on May 26. When they arrived to the scene, there was no activity, and no witnesses.

A few hours later, residents of the same area reported that their cars had been damaged by gunfire. Police have found a total of three vehicles with damage, so far in the investigation. 

No one was injured, and there were no reports of homes being struck in the incident.

Detectives believe it was a random incident; anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000.
