RICHMOND, VA—Richmond Police have arrested one man, but continue to search for a second suspect after a person was shot early Sunday morning in Richmond's Fan district.

Marcell A. Patron Jr., 31, of Richmond, has been charged with attempted murder and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Police continue to search for a second suspect, Harry Bryce Franklin, 24, whose last known address is the 3200 block of Edgewood Avenue.

It happened around 2 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of South Addison and West Cary streets.

When officers responded, they located a vehicle fleeing the scene and detained the driver when the vehicle crashed in the 1200 block of Lakeview Avenue.

After further investigation, detectives determined the driver was the victim in the incident and shot one of the other men in self-defense.

The victim, a 31-year-old male, was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said they believe the shooting was a result of an argument between a group of individuals.

They are asking anyone with any information about Franklin's whereabouts or this crime to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000 or text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word "ITip" followed by your tip. Both methods are anonymous.
