2 Students Injured When Special Needs Bus Crashes In Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD, VA—Two students suffered minor injures when a special needs school bus ran off the road and crashed in Chesterfield County on Tuesday afternoon.

Four students were on the bus, which transports students who attend The Educational Development Center, a Chesterfield County Schools spokesperson told 8News.

Two students were treated at the scene for minor injuries, Lt. Jason Elmore with the Chesterfield County Fire Department said.

The school system said parents had been notified of the crash. The bus driver and a special needs assistant were not injured in the wreck.

The wreck happened around 3:20 p.m. in the 5700 block of Omo Road, just off Iron Bridge Road.
