The man police say was responsible for a hit and run crash which left two people dead in Louisa County has been taken into custody.
Kenneth G. Wadford had been wanted since allegedly striking a motorcycle with his van late Saturday night at the intersection of Zachary Taylor Highway and Days Bridge Road.
Two riders on the motorcycle, 50-year-old Oneal Newman and 53-year-old Joyce Herriot, both of Spotsylvania, died after the van struck their bike, ejecting them from their seats.
Police said Wadford's van then struck both riders, killing them. Officials said Wadford fled the scene.
Wadford was taken into custody Monday morning following a community tip. Additional details about Wadford's arrest have not been provided.
