Suspect In Henrico County Double Shooting Surrenders

HENRICO, VA—A man wanted in connection with a Henrico County shooting that sent two teens to the hospital last month has turned himself into police.

Marshon Duane Chavis, 18, turned himself into police Wednesday afternoon. Chavis was wanted for aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

The shooting happened June 29, 2013, around 2:20 a.m. in the 1700 block of Old Oakland Road, off Darbytown Road.

Police say what started as a verbal altercation escalated and ended with two teens suffering gunshot wounds to their legs. Both victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.
