A heat advisory has been issued for most of Central Virginia from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday.
Highs in the mid to upper 90s, combined with high humidity will make it feel like 105 to 108 degrees this afternoon.
The advisory means anyone who has to spend time outside should drink plenty of fluids and seek shade. Those working outside should take frequent breaks.
Some strong storms are also possible Thursday afternoon and evening.
