Virginia Woman Stopped at RIC Airport with Loaded Gun

A Virginia woman was stopped by TSA officers at Richmond International Airport on Thursday, July 18 at 7 a.m. when they detected a loaded gun in the woman's carry-on bag.
The Richmond International Airport Police Department responded and confiscated the .38 caliber handgun, loaded with 6 rounds.
The woman, originally ticketed to fly to Philadelphia was
arrested on a state charge. There were no impact to airport operations.
The incident marks the second time this year that TSA detected a gun in a passenger's carry-on at the RIC checkpoint.
