Man Sentenced to Life in Va. Teacher Attack

POWHATAN, Va. (AP) - An Amelia man has been sentenced to life in prison for abducting and beating a Powhatan County teacher.
The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports ( ) that Powhatan Circuit Judge Paul W. Cella sentenced 30-year-old James Lee Wolfe Jr. on Monday.
Anderson received a broken arm, a severe concussion, multiple cuts and brain bleeding after Wolfe broke into her home, attacked her with a meat cleaver and then drove her to an ATM where he forced her to withdraw money. He also set her home on fire.
Wolfe was arrested the next day after employees at a gas station saw blood on money he was carrying.
