Redskins Fans Can 'Pedal To Practice' With Free Valet
RICHMOND, VA—The Washington Redskins training camp is just two days away, and with large crowds expected, some are putting the brakes on driving and opting to bike instead.
To help make it even easier for people to pedal to practice, a local group is stepping in and offering a free bike valet service.
Richmond 2015 will provide free valet bike parking beginning Thursday from 7 a.m. until one hour after the training camp ends.
The group, which is the same group that's organizing the World Cycling Championships in the Richmond, says bike valets will park, watch and retrieve the bicycles.
"Richmond 2015 is all about encouraging people to get on bikes, healthy outdoor lifestyles, making Richmond region a more bikable region for everyone," said Monica Smith-Callahan with Richmond 2015. "This is just another way we are providing that service to encourage people to get on bikes."
The free valet service will take place along Leigh Street, just outside the gates of the Redskins Training Camp.
