Women Sought; Accused Of Cashing Fraudulent Checks

Posted: Updated:

Henrico Police are asking for the public's help locating two women wanted for allegedly cashing stolen or counterfeit checks.

Authorities are looking for Denise Ames and Stephanie Lynn Booth, both 36. The two women are accused of grand larceny, forgery and obtaining money under false pretenses.

On multiple occasions this month, police said both women presented counterfeit checks and pay stubs at Cash Advance locations in eastern Henrico County.

Ames and Boothe were last known to reside in Henrico, but have ties to the Rockville and Petersburg areas as well.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
