RICHMOND - Trash and debris are all backing up at the bridge in the lake at Forest Hills Park.
"I've never seen it look the way it does right now, normally it's pretty well maintained," says resident Nathan Weeks.
Residents say the park has come a long way in the past few years, saying it's taken a lot of work to get it into great shape, now worried that the buildup is a sign the park may be reverting.
But crews were working to remove some of the mess around the lake Wednesday, though there's still a lot of work to do. Neighbors say they're glad to see some action.
8News reached out to city officials to find out when the work might be done but have yet to hear back.
For now neighbors are hoping the lake they've come to love gets completely cleaned up as soon as possible.
