LOUISA CO, Va - Virginia State Police is continuing its investigation into Saturday morning's plane crash at the Louisa County Airport.
Shortly after 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Virginia State Police responded to the scene after the pilot of a 1929 Fleet fixed wing single-engine plane was attempting to land when a malfunction with the brakes occurred. The plane ran off the runway to the left and struck an embankment before overturning and coming to rest onto the cockpit.
The pilot, Bryon Stewart, 53 of Warrenton, Va and a 17 year-old female passenger were not injured. The FAA was notified and was on-scene of this mornings crash.
The plane was part of today's airshow at the airport.
