NEW YORK, Sept. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Nomura, Asia's global investment bank, today announced that Anthony DiClemente and M. Ian Somaiya will join the firm as Managing Directors and senior analysts covering the U.S. media & internet and U.S. biotechnology sectors respectively.

DiClemente will start at Nomura in November and joins from Barclays in New York, where he led media and internet research. Prior to Barclays, DiClemente was a senior analyst at Lehman Brothers, covering broadcasting and media research.
Somaiya will also start at Nomura in November and joins from Piper Jaffray, where he was the lead biotechnology analyst covering large and mid-to-small cap companies. Somaiya has worked previously at Morgan Stanley and Prudential Securities, covering large cap stocks in the biotechnology sector. His appointment will complement Nomura's U.S. product offering, specifically the strength of the firm's convertible bonds and equity derivatives teams.
