Woman Abducted, Sexually Assaulted In Richmond

RICHMOND, VA—After a woman was abducted at gunpoint and sexually assaulted during a robbery, Richmond Police are asking for help to identify the two people wanted as persons of interest in the case.

Richmond Police say a woman was abducted at gunpoint by an unknown man and a woman in the 2500 block of East Cary Street, near South 25th Street.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. August 14.

Police say the woman was then forced to drive her abductors around and withdraw money from several locations before the male assaulted her.

The male suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion in his mid-30s to mid-40s, approximately 5'9" to 5'10" and weighing between 170 and 180 pounds. He was bald with a full beard and mustache, yellow eyes, unkempt teeth and spoke broken English.

The female suspect is described as a white female, petite, approximately 5'2" and weighing between 120 and 125 pounds. She's in her late 30s to mid-40s with shoulder-length, strawberry blond hair and possibly goes by the name Renee.

Police say the suspects are known to frequent the Fas Mart at 5200 Hull Street Road and may also frequent the Meadow Creek Apartments at 5300 Hull Street Road.

Alana Harris and Eric Bischofberger have lived in Shockoe Bottom for almost a year and were shocked to hear what happened.

"We usually try to stay as aware as possible,  especially when its dark out at night, Bischofberger says. "Now to hear this I know I'll be much more aware moving forward… looking in dark areas as well…. trying to park as close as possible."
