NELSON COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) – Investigators working the disappearance of Alexis Murphy say they have questioned a new person of interest in their search.
Investigators also add that it took a while to locate the person of interest once Taylor's lawyer made the allegations that another person may have been involved in Murphy's disappearance.
They say that person of interest is out of state and they have been in contact with him but they won't say anything else about his possible involvement in the case.
Nelson County resident Mary Pippin says she thinks about Murphy daily and has a pink ribbon on her car in honor of the missing teen.
"We're all praying as a community and as a family that she comes back to us soon."
Randy Taylor remains the prime suspect in the investigation. The grand jury will meet Tuesday morning to decide whether to move forward with the case against Taylor.
More property searches are planned in the days ahead, investigators say.
