Arrests Made in Recent VCU Robberies

RICHMOND - Police have identified and arrested five individuals in connection with four downtown robberies in the past week.

After two men were held against their will and robbed at gunpoint at approximately 5:30 a.m. yesterday in the 500 block of West Franklin Street, VCU Police identified and detained a suspect, who is charged with one count each of robbery and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Arrests have also been made in reference to the armed robbery of two men on Sept. 17 in the 500 block of North Lombardy Street, the robbery of a man in the 1600 block of Grove Avenue that same evening and another man in the 1300 block of West Cary Street early the next morning.
