HOPEWELL, VA— A drug bust at two Hopewell convenience stores has landed five people in trouble with the law.
Police say store owners and managers at the Cigarette City on Cavalier Square and the Golden Express on 15th Avenue were selling the synthetic drug known as spice.
The drug was being sold in small packages labeled "incense," police said.
The following have been charged with distribution of synthetic cannabinoids:
James Petery, age 69 of Prince George CountyGayla Petery age 63 of Prince George CountySohail Panjwani, age 42 of RichmondImran Panjwani, age 30 of RichmondSulaiman Panjwani, age 40 of Richmond
