Five Suspects Charged in Chesterfield McDonald’s Robberies

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC)—Police have charged five suspects, including one juvenile, in relation to three McDonald's robberies in Chesterfield County.

The McDonald's at 14540 Hancock Village Street was robbed Aug. 9; the restaurants at 7400 Hull Street Road and 2300 Willis Road were both robbed Sept. 2.

Shatik U. Jackson, 19, of the 300 block of Shetland Court; Cornelius E. Clayton, 19, of the 600 block of Fritz Street; London S. Cotman, 18, of the 300 block of North Airport Drive; and Durrell Graves, 27, of the 3400 block of Meadowdale Boulevard were all charged. An unnamed 16-year-old male was also charged in connection with the robberies.

Jackson, Clayton and Graves were apprehended during a traffic stop on the 2100 block of Willis Road on Sept. 26. The three suspects, along with 19-year-old Robert L. Booker, of the 4300 block of Bridgewood Road, were arrested and changed in relation to a McDonald's robbery in Dinwiddie County.

Jackson, Clayton, Cotman and the juvenile have been charged in relation to all three Chesterfield robberies. Graves was charged in relation to the Aug. 9 incident.

Jackson was charged with three counts each of robbery, abduction and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Clayton was charged with seven counts of robbery, 17 counts of abduction, two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, three counts of wearing a mask in public and 10 counts of attempted robbery.

Cotman was charged with two counts each of robbery and conspiracy to commit a felony.

The 16-year-old was charged with four counts each of robbery, abduction and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Graves was charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and four counts of conspiracy to commit abduction.

The four adult suspects are being held without bond at the Chesterfield County Jail; the juvenile is being held in the Chesterfield Juvenile Detention Home.
