2 Dead in Henrico House Fire

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC)— Two people, one male and one female, were found dead after an early-morning house fire at 2800 Ginter Street in the Lakeside area Wednesday.

Investigators has confirmed the identity of the male subject as 53-year-old James Wallace. The identity of the female subject has not been released.

A neighbor called 911 at 5 a.m. on Oct. 2 when they saw flames coming from the single-family home. Firefighters arrived on scene at 5:06 a.m.

As a team the Henrico Fire Marshals will conduct the investigation into the origin and cause of the fire.

The police will conduct a death investigation. Both victims have been transported to the Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause of death. A firefighter who was burned was transported to VCU with non-life threatening injuries.

This incident occurred less than 48 hours after a fatal fire in Petersburg.
