HENRICO COUNTY (WRIC) – Collegiate School was on lockdown Thursday night after a technician accidentally pulled an alarm, which activated a code for the presence of an active shooter.
A school spokesperson said officers received a 911 call from concerned neighbors who heard the alarm around 5:30 p.m. and as a result, police placed the school on lockdown.
Police discovered no threat, but the school said the campus would remain on lockdown as a precaution until all buildings were checked out. The surrounding area is also being monitored.
