SAN DIEGO (WRIC)—Protestors marched outside a California McDonald's franchise
Thursday in support of a former employee who claims he was fired for purchasing
a hamburger for a homeless person.
Those who rallied demanded that Leobardo Meza be given his job back.
"He's being singled out and he's a good, good-hearted soul and he shouldn't
be," a protestor said.
McDonald's—which won't discuss the reason for Meza's termination—denies
having a policy against feeding the homeless and said "the accusations being
made are absolutely false."
