A 2011 Kia Sorento was traveling east on Route 207 when it collided with a 1998 Ford F-150 pickup truck. The pickup truck was traveling north on Route 1. The impact forced the pickup truck to run off the road and strike a utility pole.

Michael and Constella were Deonn's parents. The 4-year-old was properly secured in a child safety seat. All of the adults were buckled up.
