Chesterfield Police Investigate Officer-Involved Shooting

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY (WRIC) – Chesterfield Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred in the 8000 block of Provincetown Drive at about 12:30 a.m. on Saturday.

An officer initiated a traffic stop, during the stop the suspect attempted to flee the scene and struck two officers with his vehicle and attempted to strike a third officer. The third officer fired at the suspect. A second suspect that was on scene assaulted one of the officers involved and was charged. There were no injuries due to gunfire and no one was seriously injured. Investigation into this incident is ongoing.

Trey Perry 23, of the 300 block of 6th street in Chase City, has been charged with two counts of attempted capital murder, assault on a police officer, obstruction of justice, eluding police and a traffic charge.

Tiffany Atkinson 21, of the 22000 block of Highway 49 in Skipwith, has been charged with assault on a police officer and obstruction of justice.

Both are being held at the Chesterfield County Jail without bond pending a hearing in Chesterfield County General District Court on Monday.
