CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC)—Virginia State Police and Chesterfield County Police responded to a bomb threat at Johnston-Willis Hospital at 1401 Johnston-Willis Drive.

The threat came in just before 1 p.m. on Friday from a caller outside of the facility. The hospital went into lockdown until the threat was cleared at approximately 3:30 p.m.

"We take all threats to our patients and the hospital very seriously," said HCA in a statement. "There is no indication that there was ever a bomb on the premises and police did not order an evacuation of the hospital."

At this time, Johnston-Willis has resumed normal operations.
